Registration

We regret to inform you that as from Thursday 14th November 2019, The Lighthouse Medical Practice will be undertaking a temporary list suspension.  This means that we will not be registering patients at our Practice (College Road and Ian Gow)

The reason that we are doing this is the unprecedented demand for new registrations. This has led to us having the largest rise in patient registrations in this area over the last three years. The Partners have agreed that continuing to register new patients could potentially jeopardise our ability to provide safe care to those patients already registered at the Practice.

We will continue to register:

  • newborn or adopted babies of parents already registered at the Practice who are still living within our boundary.
  • first degree relatives of patients already registered at the Practice who are living at the same address as registered patients and are still living within our boundary.
  • patients from the care home that we look after at Ian Gow (details available on request)

Please note that NHS England require us to keep a list of your name and details but this is NOT a waiting list and the Practice is NOT able to maintain a waiting list of patients who would like to register in the future.

Once we are able to commence accepting NHS registrations, this information will be available at reception and on the Practice website.

If you are not currently registered with a GP surgery and are finding it difficult to locate one, please call Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford Clinical Commissioning Group on  0300 131 4425 (based at Bexhill Hospital) and speak to the Primary Care Team.

We are in discussion with the Clinical Commissioning Group to try resolve this situation as quickly as we can and we are sorry for any inconvenience but we are sure that you will appreciate that safety is paramount to our Practice.

Yours sincerely,

The Partners at The Lighthouse Medical Practice
