Our list is currently suspended. We have done this because we do not feel that it is safe to register any more patients.
We understand that patients have a choice of where to register but we are struggling to offer existing registered patients our usual standard of service. We are over 120 staff hours down with new staff who need training and staff off isolating and unable to work.
There are delays in answering the phones, dealing with queries and repeat prescribing.
We have one of the largest lists in Eastbourne and the smallest premises. We are working hard to resolve these issues but we are not even able to offer our usual standard of service to our existing patients.
When we register new patients there is an increased workload as there are a lot of processes to go through including administration and summarising notes. We are struggling to get new patients registered.
We are working hard to resolve all of these issues but if you are already registered at a Practice in Eastbourne it may be safer and better for your care if you stay where you are registered. The new Victoria Medical Centre is opening a branch site in the town centre.
We will continue to register:
- newborn or adopted babies of parents already registered at the Practice who are still living within our boundary.
- first degree relatives of patients already registered at the Practice who are living at the same address as registered patients and are still living within our boundary.
- patients from the care homes that we look after
If you are not currently registered with a GP surgery and are finding it difficult to locate one, please call Eastbourne, Hailsham and Seaford Clinical Commissioning Group on 0300 131 4425 (based at Bexhill Hospital) and speak to the Primary Care Team or click the link below to their website which has forms you can complete:
